An Excuse for an Awesome Party: New Digs!

Things are changing at Cappa Crucy! In between our many fall events we managed to find the time to pack up and move to a new office space in White Plains. After 15 years of being a home-based business, this move is truly a turning point for us. The move was quick and fairly painless — and we just couldn’t wait to settle in to our new work space.

We figured since we’re always busy putting together events for our clients and friends, it was about time we had some fun planning our own (we had a great excuse)! Here’s how we made our Open House the after-work affair.

The Bar

We created our own signature cocktail: the Cappa Smash! Guests mingled and enjoyed the refreshing cocktail and got a taste of what the CCC Crew enjoys for the holidays. Signature cocktails are an easy way to make your party feel a little extra special- especially for the holiday season!

The Food (you know we’re all about the food here)

We gave our go-to caterer, Caperberry Events, the reigns and asked them to deviate from the usual fare. They set up three stations for us: a cheese and crudité table with a variety of cheeses, broken honeycomb, figs, spreads, and a mix of crackers; a DIY popcorn bar with warm popcorn, bags, and 10 different flavors to add on top as well as fresh pretzels and mustards; and a “sweets” table with delicious hot chocolate and white and dark chocolate truffles. Our guests absolutely loved the little, special touches — you’ll never regret trying something new!

The Fun

We always aim to have some entertainment aside from food and drink. We called our florist, Joseph Richard Florals, to see if we could feature their hottest new venture- Petal Parties. Guests can learn how to create beautiful arrangements and centerpieces, and take their creations home with them! Joseph Richard Florals provided the flowers and vases (and expertise), and our guests had an absolute blast! (Psst! Petal Parties are perfect for showers or a girl’s night out!)

Photo booths, aside from being all the rage, really are one of the best ways to capture those fun party memories. Guests got silly with props and shared their photos by tagging Cappa Crucy on Facebook.

We got such positive feedback that we’re almost ready to throw one of these every month! …Almost. We are so lucky to have such an amazing stable of vendors to call on for inspiration and advice. Our new landlord didn’t mind us showcasing his beautiful space, either! This experience was a wonderful reminder of the benefit of creating and maintaining those ever-important connections in the community, especially as we continue to grow. So thank YOU for your support.
